Henry Cavill Still Making The Flash Cameo But With A Twist

Henry Cavill’s portrayal as DC’s Superman never fails to bring DC fans down, a reminder that he had already made his exit from the franchise.

Shortly after Black Adam, Cavill was confirmed to not be the Man of Steel star that the DC Studios boss James Gunn was looking to cast for his Superman: Legacy, a part of his new DC slate reboot.

Unfortunately, all DC fans can do is wait until Gunn debuts his newer and ‘younger’ Man of Steel in the future.

However, this certainly did not stop rumors circulating on Henry Cavill (in fact, the rest of the original Justice League actors) potentially returning to the franchise!

All points previously pointed to The Flash, seeing as it’s what Gunn has claimed to be the refresher for his upcoming DC slate, and will tackle the existence of the multiverse in the franchise.

Apparently, Cavill is rumored to make his epic comeback in the DCU film! Although, a new report debunked the rumor by saying DC changed things up again for The Flash.

Industry insider KC Walsh answered the DC fan by confirming two things: Henry Cavill is still making his cameo in The Flash and it isn’t what you think.

“[Henry Cavill] does appear in the Speedforce,” Walsh tweeted, “But it’s just repurposed [Justice League] footage. Not a big surprise.”

When another fan asked why Cavill’s rumored to have filmed scenes in The Flash are not appearing, Walsh said: “They did [film] but that scene is gone, not it’s just old Justice League footage.”

Now, it is important to take this with a grain of salt, since DC Studios and James Gunn have yet to confirm or deny this themselves.

But it is worth mentioning that The Flash has been directly referencing Cavill’s Man of Steel and even a little bit of Sasha Calle’s Supergirl influence in the trailer.

Here’s to hoping we could actually get a glimpse of Cavill back in action, especially since Gal Gadot did in Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

DC’s The Flash is expected to premiere on June 16.
