DC Reportedly Made Last-Minute Changes To The Flash Movie Ending

DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran are on their tails waiting to renew the DCU, which begins with The Flash.

Seeing as the DC shake-up built the soon-to-be known as ‘Gunnverse’ with a new slate of films and series coming our way, The Flash could easily bring DC fans a glimpse of what to expect under Gunn’s management.

However, a new report claims that plenty of major changes have occurred with the ending of The Flash. One of those changes include ‘de-canonizing’ Zack Snyder’s Justice League from the slate.

According to industry insider KC Walsh, The Flash is now “complete”, which comes to no surprise seeing as it is set to premiere at CinemaCon, an event running from April 24 to 27.

The insider then adds a crucial detail to this report: that the ending has changed, “but it’s more vague” given that “the ‘cameo’ isn’t what you think is, either.”

The mentioned cameo is referring to George Clooney’s Batman appearance.

Apparently, Clooney’s is not the only cameo making an appearance in the film. Walsh implies Speedforce has “cameos galore” which includes “a CW connection [and] a dream cameo”.

Walsh said, “It’ll be what everyone talks about.”

Before ending Walsh’s tweet, the insider said, “Zack Snyder’s Justice League references appear to [have been] removed.”

It was previously indicated by YouTuber Grace Randolph that Gunn has removed all of the movie’s ending teases.

Randolph claims The Flash cut out Henry Cavill’s Superman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Sasha Calle’s Supergirl, and Michael Keaton’s Batman.

Although it is worth mentioning that the latter two are still confirmed to appear in the film.

Needless to say, The Flash is not turning out to be what DC fans have been waiting for, especially since Grant Gustin’s Flash is not even confirmed to appear in the film.

While these reports have yet to be confirmed, it is important to take these with a grain of salt for now.

DC’s The Flash is currently expected to premiere in theaters on June 16. Check out more details about the film here.
