The new featurette for The Witcher Season 3 offers a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming season and Henry Cavill discusses the premise of the show's new chapter (via GamesRadar).

"It starts off with Geralt and Yennefer agreeing to protect Ciri," Cavill said. "But now they’re out in the wild [and] because there are people out there hunting Ciri, they’re exposed."

"He wants to train his adopted daughter to be as good as he is," he continues. "You get to see a deeper side to Geralt, I got to inject a bit more intellect into him and a bit more thoughtfulness."

It certainly sounds like we'll get to see a different side of the White Wolf in The Witcher Season 3. Needless to say, we're looking forward to seeing a new side of Geralt this week.

Henry Cavill also hyped up the new villain that will be introduced in the third season.

"Someone is doing some fairly nefarious stuff behind the scenes and Geralt has to catch up to them," Cavill said. "The gloves are off and you’re being thrown into the deep end."

The Witcher Season 3 will be the final one for Henry Cavill. Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth has since been confirmed to take over the role of Geralt of Rivia in the show's fourth and fifth seasons.

The first volume of The Witcher Season 3 will premiere on Netflix on June 28, 2023. The second set of episodes will then begin streaming on July 27, 2023.
