Henry Cavill's Rumored SDCC Appearance Seemingly Debunked

Recently, rumors started to surface online that Henry Cavill will show up at the Warner Bros. panel in this year's San Diego Comic-Con and possibly announce his return as Superman in the DCEU. A lot of fans have expressed their excitement about the possibility and hope that it will end up being true. However, it looks like you might have to put your hopes down as it seems that he might not actually appear at all.

Collider editor-in-chief Steven Weintraub recently tweeted that he heard that Cavill is on the set of the third season of The Witcher in the United Kingdom this Friday which means that it is highly unlikely that he will show up in person at the Warner Bros. SDCC panel this Saturday morning and possibly have a virtual appearance instead.

So far, Warner Bros. has not made any confirmation that Cavill will make an appearance in their SDCC panel so the rumors still need to be taken with a grain of salt. There have been speculations for the past several months that Cavill will make his comeback as Superman in the DCEU soon.

While it might be disappointing to hear that Cavill might now show up in person at this year's SDCC, if he ends up appearing virtually and confirming his return as Superman, it's still going to be a win for fans who have been wanting to see him come back on playing the iconic superhero.

It still remains to be seen what kind of surprises and announcements the studio has in store at their SDCC panel this year, but they are expected to show some previews on their upcoming DCEU films Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which are both slated for release later this year.
