In the third episode of Hawkeye, it was revealed that, aside from the regular ones, Clint Barton had a lot of upgraded arrows and for someone who is in retirement with his family after the tedious two decades of being a hero, he must be missing the action or he just found a new hobby to do those things and have his weaponry expanded with multifunctional arrows.

When the car chase stopped by the bridge, they are almost out of tricks but Hawkeye still has one in his arsenal that would surprise everyone. He instructed Kate to aim a regular arrow to the skies and he has a plan with one of the most amazing arrows he has in his armory: the Pym arrow.

As Kate shoots the regular arrow upwards, Clint aimed a Pym arrow on it that when it hit the regular one, it got really big and it fell directly on one truck like a huge needle falling from the skies. That was definitely a worthy upgrade, a notable callback on Hank Pym and Ant-Man. Moreover, the Pym arrow traces back to Marvel comics.

The Pym arrow appeared on Avengers Roll-Call #1 wherein Hawkeye used the Pym arrows more than once. While the one in the episode was the arrow that grows, in the comics, he also used the one that shrinks.

The possible contact of Hawkeye, in this case, is none other than Scott Lang who played a pivotal role in their journey to bringing everyone who got snapped by Thanos back into existence. It is a technology that could prove useful for a marksman like Clint and it shows in the scene how it became a handy addition to his arsenal of arrows.

See the Pym arrow on Hawkeye, now streaming on Disney Plus. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 28, 2023.
