‘Han Solo - A Star Wars Fan Film’ Reaches Fundraising Goal of $20,000

A fan film project that would focus on the story of Han Solo has just reached its fundraising goal. The aspiring project will highlight the adventures of Han Solo as he goes on a mission to save Chewbacca.

The project will be promoted by actor/director Jaime Costa, who will also star Han himself.

Last year, Costa uploaded a Han Solo mock audition tape that convincingly featured him doing impressive impressions of Han Solo.

Take a look:

Costa is known in the internet for doing impressive expressions of actors like Johnny Depp, Robin Williams, and Harrison Ford.

The $20,000 fundraising goal was raised in just over two months via IndieGogo. The fundraising is actually still up and has several hours to go before closing.

The Han Solo fan film will be directed by Kieth Allen from a script by Nathaniel Nauert. Chewie and Costa's Han will be joined by Doug Jones as new character, Gyorsho.

The film will be shot in Utah and will have an 8-10 minute runtime.
