Star Wars Rebels Season Two Finale Enjoys All-Time High Ratings


Star Wars Rebels hadn't exactly been a hit in the past, but with the show's two-part second season finale, the Disney XD series ended with the highest note it has ever had. Ratings for the finale were at an all-time high, soaring in viewership this year.

According to Variety, the numbers speak for themselves. The statistics of the show from the view of Disney and LucasFilm behind-the-scenes are as follows:

> Total Viewership Numbers: 1.2 million viewers
> On Digital Platforms:
- 3.2 million viewers on the Disney XD App
- Over 8.8 million VOD orders during the season
> TV Ratings:
- Ranked as No. 1 cable TV telecast in the hour among the age demographic of boys 6-14
- No. 2 in kids 6-11 across the target demographic

The numbers looks pretty solid and even fans and critics would attest to the gripping episode. Fans who didn't use to watch the show were even compelled to follow it. Of course, the return of fan-favorite old characters such as Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and Ahsoka helped rake in viewers.

It's awesome to see the show getting this much success. It definitely deserves the accolade.
