Gwen Stefani seems very particular with the hair products that she uses so that she can maintain long and glossy locks. Years ago, a source revealed that the No Doubt singer uses a leave-in conditioner to avoid having damaged hair strands.
“She gets multiple types of deep conditioning every day, which cancels out the damage to Gwen’s hair caused by the constant coloring,” Davilo said.
Gwen Stefani Suffers From Extreme Hair Loss, Balding
National Enquirer, in its Feb. 28 issue, claimed that all the extensive hair treatments that Stefani has received over the years have taken a toll on her.
An unnamed source claimed that Blake Shelton’s wife is dealing with extreme hair loss, and she also has bald spots that are difficult to hide.
“There are literally bald patches on her scalp from all the coloring and heat styling. She wears extensions and toppers to conceal it, and she doesn’t even let Blake see her without her wigs on,” the unnamed source said.
Hair Expert Weighs In On Gwen Stefani’s Hair Condition
The publication also spoke to a hair expert named Dr. Purvisha Patel, who explained what may be happening to Stefani’s hair. However, it is important to note that Patel never treated Stefani.
“Next to every hair follicle on our body, there is a nerve and a blood vessel that is attached. Hair treatments such as drying or, even worse, bleaching and perming, expose these structures to chemicals. Over time, there is damage to the nerve and blood vessel and hair loss can occur,” Patel explained.
The unnamed source claimed that Stefani should affect the fact that she can’t keep dying her hair and expect that she won’t have problems.
“She’s totally obsessed with keeping up her blonde bombshell image. But she’s been warned she won’t have any hair left if she continues damaging it this way,” the unnamed source concluded.
Gwen Stefani Isn’t Going Bald
However, there is no indication that Stefani has started to go bald or that she’s experiencing hair loss. In fact, a source previously told E! News that Stefani has not bleached her hair since 2004. So, the publication’s claims aren’t accurate.
“We haven’t used bleach since 2004. A high-lift formula that achieves the same effect but saves the quality of the hair,” the source said.
But in 2017, Stefani’s hairstylist, Danilo Dixon told Refinery29 that he colors the singer’s hair weekly.
“We color her hair every Monday, before The Voice,” he said. But he doesn’t bleach the singer’s hair.
Other than her hair, Stefani was also rumored to be hiring a surrogate so that she and Shelton could have a biological child together.
Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Hired A Surrogate
In November, In Touch Weekly claimed that Stefani and Shelton were already expecting a baby together after the former hired a surrogate.
“They have been working with a well-known surrogacy center in Los Angeles, one that’s helped many celebrities’ baby dreams come true. There should be an announcement any minute. There’s DNA technology now to determine the sex of the baby. They will finally get the daughter that she’s always wanted. And Blake really wants to have a daddy’s girl – that kid will have him wrapped around her finger in no time,” an unnamed source said.
If the rumors were true, Stefani and Shelton would’ve already shared the happy news with their fans. But the fact that they have not said anything proves that it’s all just a rumor.
Stefani and Shelton are not expecting a baby via a surrogate. And the No Doubt singer isn’t also suffering from extreme hair loss.
