Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are, allegedly, ready to take the next step in their relationship.
In July, Gwen Stefani and Shelton tied the knot in Oklahoma. And the couple is, allegedly, ready to expand their family four months later.
The country singer serves as a stepdad to Stefani’s children. Shelton previously revealed that he’s enjoying his role as a stepfather to Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. The Voice coach also said that he could no longer imagine his life without the three boys.

Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Hired A Surrogate
In Touch Weekly, in its Nov. 8 issue, claimed that having Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo in his life was what encouraged Shelton and Stefani to have more children. Since the No Doubt singer could no longer conceive her own child, she hired a surrogate to help make her dream a reality.
“They have been working with a well-known surrogacy center in Los Angeles, one that’s helped many celebrities’ baby dreams come true. There should be an announcement any minute,” an unnamed source said.
Is The Couple Is Expecting A Baby Girl?
Since Stefani already has three sons with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, the singer wants to have a baby girl this time around. The unnamed source claimed that there’s a technology that helped confirm Stefani and Shelton’s baby’s sex, and they will indeed be having a baby girl.

“There’s DNA technology now to determine the sex of the baby. They will finally get the daughter that she’s always wanted. And Blake really wants to have a daddy’s girl – that kid will have him wrapped around her finger in no time,” the source said.
Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton’s Children Are Excited To Have A Sister
Since Shelton already has experience taking care of children, he, allegedly, thinks that it would be a breeze taking care of a baby girl. But Stefani constantly reminds her husband that taking care of an infant would be different. Luckily, the couple will be getting plenty of help from their family, friends, and nannies.
Even Stefani’s children can no longer wait to see their baby sister, and the boys also want to take care of their youngest sibling.
“The boys are looking forward to having a little sister. Blake has them convinced it will be great. Gwen and Blake are in such a good place. And with the holidays coming, it’s the perfect time to nest… They’re more in love than ever, and they can’t wait to make their family complete,” the source concluded.

Have Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Been Trying For A Baby Since July?
Other publications have also been saying that Stefani and Shelton want to expand their family. Shortly after their wedding, Hollywood Life alleged that the couple was happily exploring their options.
Stefani also, allegedly, considered IVF, but she ultimately decided that hiring a surrogate is what’s best for her.
“It’s no secret that Gwen wants a daughter; she’s spoken very publicly about it and having a baby is something that she and Blake have discussed,” the publication’s first source said.
A second insider claimed that the No Doubt singer thinks it’s a blast raising three sons. But Stefani couldn’t also help but think that having a daughter would be incredible.

Blake Shelton Shares What It’s Like To Be A Stepfather
During his interview on Today, Shelton admitted that helping Stefani raise her three children is also challenging at times. After all, he had to be careful with the things that he would say because three boys are listening to him.
“That's a scary moment for me because for one thing, for me to be with the kids all the time and be their buddy, but then you do have to consider after a while they start to listen to things that you say and there's a lot of responsibility that comes with that, which is new to me…” Shelton said.
While speaking with KFROG’s The Ride With Kimo & Heather, Shelton also shared his feelings about becoming Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo’s stepfather.
“There’s definitely nothing easy about it. I love my stepfather. I looked up to him, and he’s like a father to me, so I have a good inspiration in my life for how to do this and the kind of stepdad I want to be,” he said via USA Today.
But when Luke Bryan asked Shelton if he wanted to have his own children with Stefani, the country superstar refused to answer the question. So, it’s still unclear whether the couple really wants to have a daughter via a surrogate.
