An unnamed source claimed:
“As soon as those headlines started coming out, and Oprah learned that they’d either exaggerated or downright life to her, she was furious. This put a severe dent in Oprah’s reputation as one of America’s most skilled interviewers in and even now, almost eight months later, it hasn’t quite recovered.”
Other insiders shared that Oprah Winfrey decided to cool her friendship with Meghan Markle after the latter’s visit to a Harlem school. Some people thought that wearing a $20,000 worth outfit at the time was very insensitive, especially since most of the students attending the said school are underprivileged.
An unidentified industry insider stated:
“American audiences are starting to realize that Harry and Meghan aren’t exactly practicing what they’re constantly preaching, and people are beginning to turn on them. Oprah knows she needs to distance herself from them for her own good.”

"Last night, I was at something in London with some very very famous stars who have a place in Montecito. And of course, Meghan and Harry’s names came up. And they told me what I have been told by other friends of mine, who know the Montecito scene or have places in Montecito. And the billionaires don’t want to touch them, nobody wants to touch them."
