Kate Walsh is returning to Grey's Anatomy Season 18, and fans are looking forward to seeing her reprise her role as Addison Montgomery.

A lot of things have already happened since Addison left Seattle to pursue a career in Los Angeles. So, her return to multiple episodes of Grey's Anatomy Season 18 is certainly one of the storylines to watch out for.

Here are some predictions on how Addison's visit to Grey Sloan Memorial hospital could affect the lives of Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone), and Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington).

Addison Montgomery, Meredith Grey's relationship in Grey's Anatomy

Addison and Meredith weren't always on good terms. To recall, Addison was previously married to Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), but she cheated on him with his best friend, Mark Sloan (Eric Dane).

Derek walked away from his marriage to Addison and then he met Meredith and fell in love.

In one of the scenes from the earlier seasons of Grey's Anatomy, Addison saw Derek fixing Meredith's coat, and she knew exactly that they were together.

Addison would be happy to know that Amelia has been doing so well. The latter has also been sober for quite some time.

However, Amelia seems to be having some commitment issues because she refused to get engaged to Lincoln (Chris Carmack).

One scene featuring Addison and Amelia could show the former sisters-in-law talking about their personal struggles. Addison could also give Amelia a piece of advice when it comes to her commitment issues.

Could Addison Montgomery inspire Jo Wilson in Grey's Anatomy Season 18?

Jo decided to switch specialties after helping a team of doctors deliver a baby. She became attached to the infant and decided to adopt her with Lincoln's help.

Alex Karev's (Justin Chambers) ex-wife is now pursuing a career in pediatrics, which is similar to Addison's specialty. The latter is an OB/GYN specializing in maternal-fetal medicine and fetal surgery.

It is possible for Addison and Jo to share the screen for the first time ever in Grey's Anatomy Season 18. And babies and fetuses could be the topic of their conversation.

Which cast members are returning to Grey's Anatomy Season 18?

Other than Walsh, a slew of actors will also be returning to Grey's Anatomy Season 18.

Abigail Spencer will reprise her role as Owen Hunt's (Kevin McKidd) sister, Megan Hunt. Kate Burton will also return as Meredith's late mom, Ellis Grey.
