Abigail Spencer is the latest addition to the ever-growing cast of Grey's Anatomy Season 18. And her fans are dying to know what happened to her character, Megan Hunt after all these years.

Spencer played the role of Owen's (Kevin McKidd) sister, Megan in a total of six episodes between Seasons 14 and 15.

Megan worked as a trauma surgeon in the US Army alongside her brother, Teddy Altman (Kim Raver), and Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson).

She and Nathan were residing in Malibu after getting engaged. And Nathan decided to leave Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital so he could spend more time with his future wife.

As of late, Henderson's return to Grey's Anatomy Season 18 has not yet been confirmed, but anything is possible in Shondaland.

Here are some predictions on how Megan's return could affect Teddy and Owen's relationship in Grey's Anatomy Season 18.

Will Megan support Owen, Teddy's relationship?

Megan and Owen have always had a complicated relationship. But the last time that Megan was in Grey's Anatomy, all seemed to be going well between her and her older brother.

In Season 17, Owen and Teddy finally got back together, but one can only wonder how long their relationship would last. After all, throughout the years, Owen and Teddy have been in an on-again-off-again relationship.

Since Megan and Teddy are close, it's possible that Megan would be supportive of Owen and Teddy's relationship. In the past, Megan has also been very vocal when she doesn't like her brother's girlfriend, but she and Teddy have always been on good terms.

Unfortunately, things couldn't be this easy in Shondaland.

Will Megan's PTSD, relationship play out in Grey's Anatomy?

Remember the time when Megan went missing for several years? This suggests that Megan's work in the US Army has taken a toll on her mental health.

And if she's still struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues, she could be returning to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital with her excess baggage.

Since Henderson's possible return is still up in the air, it's also possible for Megan to tell Teddy and Owen that she's no longer engaged or even married to Nathan.

This could pave the way for Megan to find love at the hospital. And she has plenty of options at Grey Sloan since there are a lot of single characters in the series.

While this might sound like a bit of a stretch (or is it?), Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) and Lincoln's (Chris Carmack) seem to be over for good. After all, Lincoln wanted to propose to Amelia, but she didn't seem ready for an engagement.

So, wouldn't it be interesting to see Megan dating Lincoln in Grey's Anatomy Season 18? Let's find out where Shonda Rhimes would take Megan's story arc this season since Spencer will reportedly appear in multiple episodes.

Grey's Anatomy Season 18 premieres on ABC on Sept. 30 at 9/8c.
