GOT7 Went Through a Lot Before Making a Comeback

On Monday, GOT7 held a press conference to promote their new self-titled EP.

All members shared their thoughts about their return, saying it feels like a dream to come back as a whole group. It is worth noting that K-pop groups tend to disband or lose members for good once they decide not to renew their contracts.

But things are different for them.

According to Mark, they have been preparing since last year. Now that they finally dropped the project, he expressed his excitement after finally meeting Ahgase again.

“It’s a relief we could make our comeback as a full group, and I’m thankful to our members’ agency staff and Warner Music, who helped us. It feels like a dream, and I’m touched,” JAY B said.

Meanwhile, Jackson noted that among the members, their leader JAY B went through the hardest phases. But after all those trials, they got to work together again.

Jinyoung and Youngjae both mentioned their fans, saying that their return is their way to repay them for waiting for them.

BamBam and Yugyeom added that they are grateful that GOT7 remains as a seven-membered group despite leaving JYP Entertainment.

GOT7’s Comeback Is Proof That They Are Not Disbanding

When they departed from JYP Entertainment, members signed with other companies and continued their careers individually.

Youngjae signed with Sublime Artists Agency, Yugyeom with AOMG, Jinyoung with BH Entertainment, Jackson with TEAM WANG (in partnership with Sublime Artists Agency), BamBam with ABYSS Company, Mark With Creative Artists Agency LLC, and JAY B with H1GHR MUSIC.

Per BamBam, they released their new album to protect the team and show that they are not disbanding. Although they had to wait for a year, the members managed to keep their promise to fans to return as a whole group.
