Kim Shin Young sparked dating rumors with former Oh My Girl member Jiho after the YouTube channel, Sojang shared evidence to prove the claims.
On May 17, the YouTube channel shared a video in which it claimed that Jiho and Kim Shin Young are more than friends. It alleged that the girl group’s fans were already aware of the relationship since they had shown hints over the past years.
The allegation came out after talks about Kim Shin Young becoming Jiho’s reason behind her departure from the group emerged.
Sojang added that Kim Shin Young and Jiho grew closer after the comedian served as an MC for the Coloring Book Showcase in 2017. The K-pop idol added Shin Ba in the Thanks Section of every album, leading fans to assume that she was referring to the comedian.
However, Kim Shin Young has since broken her silence to reveal the truth.
Kim Shin Young Says She is Not Dating Jiho
On her Kim Shin Young’s Noon Song of Hope’s May 20 broadcast, Kim Shin Young addressed the dating rumors and dismissed the claims.
Per the comedian, she received countless of messages for the first time due to the baseless rumors that had been spreading recently.

"The staff of this radio program know me very well, so they know that I love giving people stuff. So when that's the reason for these rumors, it's just ridiculous. And in the comments, there are so many malicious attacks about my face and my outer appearance. But I'm going to say right now that if you meet me in real life, I promise you, I'm not that ugly. A lot of people are calling me 'grandma', but for someone in her forties, I look pretty young,” she went on.
Kim Shin Young then directly said that the rumors were not true. Instead of taking it seriously, she asked everyone to see it as a hilarious rumor instead, as people had already gotten hurt.
In the end, she asked everyone to support Jiho instead as she embarks on her new journey.
Fans Share Proof
Before Kim Shin Young dismissed the rumors, Jiho’s fans took their time to show all the matching clothes and accessories the duo has.
The couple items include couple rings, masks, bracelets, phone cases, and mask straps. They noted that Jiho changed her salon instead to the one where Kim Shin Young regularly goes to and let other Oh My Girl members go to their usual hair shop.
Jiho also allegedly kept on talking about Kim Shin Young on a paid messenger app for idols and fans.
With Kim Shin Young’s clarification, fans can now take the reports with a grain of salt.
