After exciting fans with his appearance in the tvN Kdramas The Devil Judge and Yumi's Cells, GOT7's Jinyoung will be greeting viewers with a new thriller film. Jinyoung has been confirmed to be one of the cast for the forthcoming Korean film Christmas Carol, based on a novel of the same name.
Christmas Carol is a movie about a person who enters a juvenile detention center on his own to avenge his twin brother's death.
GOT7 Jinyoung To Portray Twin Brothers In Korean Thriller Film Christmas Carol
The forthcoming Korean film Christmas Carol will feature GOT7 Jinyoung's exemplary acting skills. The idol turned actor will play the roles of twin brothers, namely Joo Il Woo and Joo Wol Woo.
Based on the Korean novel of the same name, Christmas Carol will pique viewers' interest with its psychological action thriller genre. In addition, how Jinyoung will portray two different characters heightens the anticipation for the film's release.
After grabbing massive attention as a member of the popular South Korean boy group GOT7 and duo group JJ Project, Jinyoung has been working very hard to cement himself as one of the most promising actors in the Korean drama industry.

Jinyoung made his acting debut in Dream High 2 (2012) alongside co-GOT7 member JB, Kang So Ra, 2AM Jinwoon, T-Ara Jiyeon, SISTAR Hyolyn, and Park Seo Joon.
This groundbreaking role followed several supporting roles in the Kdramas When A Man Falls In Love (2013) and Legend of the Blue Sea (2016). In 2019, Jinyoung finally landed his first leading role in the tvN Kdrama He Is Psychometric.
Christmas Carol is Jinyoung's second film after his main role in the independent film A Stray Goat (2017).
Korean Film Christmas Carol Release Date
As of now, only Jinyoung was confirmed to be appearing in the imminent Korean film. It is expected to start production once all cast members are confirmed. The production team for Chrismas Carol also revealed they plan to begin filming sometime next year.
Christmas Carol is based on the novel of the same name penned by Joo Won Gyu, who is also responsible for creating Made in Gangnam. Kim Sung Soo will direct the film (Save Me Season 1) and Yeon Sang Ho (Train To Busan, Peninsula).
