Yumi's Cells is a cell-based psychological romance drama based on a hit webtoon about an ordinary office worker named Yumi. The series tells the perspective of the protagonist's brain cells that control her thoughts, feelings, and movements. For the first time in the history of Korean dramas, Yumi's Cells will be produced using a new format that combines live-action and 3D animation, piquing interest from viewers all around the world.
Yumi's Cells is led by Kim Go Eun and Ahn Bo Hyun. Now that the series is on its episode 8, Yumi and Goo Woong's relationship is sprinting towards a more intimate level. However, new characters seem to test how tight their relationship is.

Yumi's Cells Episode 7 sees Yumi and Woong getting closer after their trip. Her priorities went on a dramatic change wherein Goo Woong topped the list. One scene that shows how Yumi is falling head over heels to him is when she made a lunchbox for him.
As the two lovers can't get enough of each other, Yumi made a surprise visit to Goo Woong's office. While they were talking in front of the office, Sae Yi saw them and created an intimidating tension. However, Yumi's cells managed to get back at Sae Yi, which worked as the latter had all day being curious as to how deep their relationship had gone in.
Goo Woong and Yumi went to see a movie and while the wormhole reopens, Yumi's Love Cell took it as a chance to go to Woong's cell village and find out whether Sae Yi is in Goo Woong's priorities. Thankfully, Sae Yi is only at 11th and Yumi is at the 2nd of Goo Woong's priorities.
While Yumi's Love Cell discovers something about Goo Woong. Love Cell saw that Goo Woong's marriage plans are buried deep in the sea but she did not put much attention to it.

On the other hand, Yumi met with her college friends when she received a wedding invitation. Yumi was teased for not having a boyfriend, which she immediately denied. But her friends do not believe her so she said she will bring him along and introduce Goo Woong to her friends at the wedding.
Yumi's Fashion Cell insisted that she should go out and buy a new outfit to wear for the wedding. This was when she met her ex-boyfriend. Luckily, Yumi kept her calm and managed to control her anger while having a conversation with her ex-boyfriend, Ji Woo Gi.
Later, she found out that Ji Woo Gi will also attend the wedding so she asked Goo Woong to accompany her. However, Goo Woong and his colleagues are busy as the beta testing is coming soon. But Yumi begged Goo Woong, to which the latter agreed and said he would catch up.
During the wedding, Ji Woo Gi revealed to Yumi about his upcoming wedding. Yumi found out that her ex-boyfriend is getting married to the woman whom he chose over her.
Filled with anger, Yumi lied to him that she is also getting married next year. All her lies were heard by Goo Woong. When Yumi expected that Goo Woong will deny everything she said, her boyfriend coolly agreed and thanked Ji Woo Gi for congratulating them.
