Good Omens Season 2 Has Finished Filming

A while ago, we learned that Good Omens is going to have a second season which surprised a lot of fans as they thought that the series was only a limited run and it already covered the entire novel. Michael Sheen and David Tennant are set to reprise their respective roles. The second season has been in production for some time, but now it looks like they're finally done.

Director and co-showrunner Douglas Mackinnon took to Twitter to announce that filming for the second season of Good Omens is finally finished. He posted a photo of a soundstage door that has the quote from the first season "Get thee behind me, foul fiend... After you" along with a caption "That's a wrap. Good Omens 2" and tagged Neil Gaiman. You can check his tweet below:

Georgia Tennant, David Tennant's wife, also posted on Instagram a selfie photo with her husband, who is sporting Crowley's iconic red hair, while sitting in a car along with the caption "#exorcised" which probably means that she is celebrating that her husband is done playing a demon. It is great to hear that they are done filming the second season as it means that they are now heading to post-production which is the final stage before they air. It is likely that they will air it later this year since they need a few months to finish the post-production process, especially with all the visual effects that they have to do.

It's just very exciting that we're now a bit closer to the second season of the series which we never thought could happen since the first season was only conceived as a one-off limited series. For the second season, it appears that it is going to be based on original material written by Gaiman himself, who is also heavily involved in the making of the second season. Let's just wait and see what they have in store for Aziraphale and Crowley's next adventure.
