Woman’s Day New Zealand, in its May 16, 2022 issue, reported that George Clooney remains smitten with Amal Alamuddin, whom he tied the knot with in 2014. However, the realities of juggling the lawyer’s groundbreaking work with his acting career are allegedly starting to take their toll.
An unnamed source told the entertainment news publication:
“George is the last person on earth who would expect Amal to change anything about her career, but the truth is, her line of work has been extremely worrying for George over the past few months.”
The same insider furthered:
“When war broke out in Ukraine, Amal immediately rolled up her sleeves to help. She’s dedicating every waking minute to working with the United Nations on Russia’s human rights abuses against Ukrainians, and it’s very powerful stuff. George is torn between his intense admiration for her as a lawyer and his worries for her safety as his wife. He knows she’s a formidable woman, but seeing her go up against a power like Russia and Vladimir Putin gives him a lot of anxiety.”

The magazine noted it is not the first time George Clooney admitted that Amal Alamuddin’s travels to dangerous places “bothers” him a lot. In 2019, while the British-Lebanese barrister was bringing a case against ISIS extremists in a French court, her family had to increase their protection.
At the time, George Clooney revealed:
“We have real security issues on a daily basis. We don’t want our kids to be targets, so we have to pay attention. [While] I have a beautiful wife and two beautiful kids...I miss being able to walk [with them] in Central Park.”
Making matters worse is the fact that George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have been spending more time apart than usual. The Money Monster actor is currently filming The Boys In The Boat in London, while his wife is said to be spending most of her time working in New York.
Informants told the publication that George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s twins, Alex and Ella, are shuttled between their parents, who catch up “in any scrap of diary space they can find.” Another tipster claimed:

Meanwhile, the Clooney Foundation for Justice has announced an inaugural awards ceremony in honor of Justice Albie Sachs. The Albie Awards is set to take place on Sept. 29, 2022, at the New York Public Library.
Not only did the George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin-founded organization name the awards after South Africa’s Justice Albie Sachs, but they would also award him with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Pursuit of Justice.
Other recipients at the Albie would be Nobel prize-winning Filipino journalist Maria Ressa, who will receive the Justice for Journalists Award, and Dr. Josephine Kulea, the Kenyan women’s rights campaigner and founder of the Samburu Girls Foundation that helps to rescue girls from child marriage, female genital mutilation, and other harmful practices, will receive the Justice for Women Award.
