George Clooney, 61, Brad Pitt, 58, and Matt Damon, 51, are reportedly returning to the big screen for Ocean's Fourteen. Initially, the Ocean's trilogy wrapped in 2007 with the actors saying that Ocean's Thirteen would be their last heist. But apparently, another installment is on the way.

"Rumours of a film starring George, Brad and Matt have swirled for years but the timing was off and their jam-packed schedules meant that it was just not possible," a source told The Sun. "Finally the right team for the job has come together in a bid to make it a huge success and the main stars thought it would be good fun to revisit."

The tipster added, "The franchise is hugely popular and the brilliant storyline was an opportunity that was too good to miss."

George Clooney, Brad Pitt And Matt Damon Reunion Was In Talks Years Ago

Don Cheadle, 57, known as explosives expert Basher Tarr confirmed that they were talking about doing another film. However, the possibility of a sequel was put on hold after their co-star Bernie Mac suddenly passed away at the age of 50 in August 2008 due to pneumonia complications.

"We were talking about it, and then Bernie passed, and very quickly we were like, 'No, we don't want to do it,'" Cheadle said.

The Martian actor hinted last year that he was up for a sequel. However, he said that the future of the next film was in the hands of franchise director Steven Soderbergh.

"It would always be up to Steven Soderbergh if there was a story," Damon said. "We have lost a couple of our members, so we would have to figure it out, we are a depleted gang now."

Aside from Mac, their other co-star Carl Reiner died in June 2020 at the age of 98.
