Fans have spotted the first look at MCU’s new Falcon in a promotional tie-in with McDonald’s.

In the photo, Joaquín Torres (portrayed by Danny Ramirez) suits up in Captain America: Brave New World as the Falcon, presumably having the wingsuit repaired and overhauled with a comic-accurate colour scheme after the events of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

While this does not surprise those who saw the set leaks posted online last year, the clearer look reminds some fans of Vulture’s suit in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

It is possible that the reveal was due to merchandising issues caused by pushbacks in the release date (the film was originally scheduled for May 2024 and then July 2024). Earlier, McDonald’s Costa Rica started promoting its Captain America Happy Meal line-up, including mini-plushies for the characters Red Hulk, Ruth, and Diamondback.

Joaquín Torres was first introduced in the MCU as a US Air Force lieutenant and intelligence officer who becomes an ally of Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) in uncovering the truth behind the anti-nationalist group Flag Smashers. As Wilson fully accepts the responsibility of being Captain America in a post-Steve Rogers world, he leaves his Falcon suit to Torres.

Aside from Wilson and Torres, Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly) from the Disney+ series is expected to return in Brave New World alongside other MCU-established names like Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford) and his daughter Betty (Liv Tyler). Due to the involvement of characters from The Incredible Hulk, there are rumours that Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) will return in the movie.

This will be the first big screen outing of Wilson as Cap; however, his buddies Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl) are previously confirmed to not return in the movie.

Following production delays and reshoots, Captain America: Brave New World is now scheduled to be released in February 2025.
