If it still wasn't obvious enough, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is zeroing in on a massive changing of the guard for its fourth phase. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier alone saw Sam Wilson's ascension as the new star-spangled Avenger while also introducing new heroes to the fold, including Joaquin Torres who is seemingly poised to become the next Falcon.

Of course, the MCU is centered on secrecy and while the series has dropped hints about Torres' expanded role in the franchise, actor Danny Ramirez refuses to go into detail with regards to his character's future, potentially as a new member of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Top Gun: Maverick star was asked about Torres' future in the MCU. Of course, Ramirez only offered a cryptic response to Kimmel's question and segued back to his Top Gun role.

Ramirez said: "Well, I've taken to the skies, I love the skies now more than ever... I think, if I were to do that, I'd have to do it practically, I can't go back now."

Well, considering Sam has officially taken the Captain America mantle, it would be a no-brainer for Torres to become his Falcon successor, especially considering it also happened in the comics. And as much as I love the dynamic between him and Bucky Barnes, the first few episodes of the series highlighted the chemistry between Wilson and Torres.

Chris Evans also recently spoke out about whether he would return to his role as Captain America in the MCU in some fashion. According to Evans, that would be a "tall order" and require a "perfect" script to get him aboard.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is streaming on Disney+. Meanwhile, a fourth Captain America film is in the works.
