Details about Ford's involvement in Captain America 4 have remained a mystery for months but a new rumor claims that Marvel Studios has major plans for the Han Solo and Indiana Jones actor in Phase 5.

According to a scoop from Twitter insider @CanWeGetToast, Thunderbolt Ross will serve as the next United States President or at least run for the position. The insider didn't give out the specifics but interestingly, they namedropped Ross' villainous alter-ego in the comics Red Hulk, suggesting that the gamma and cosmic ray-powered baddie will make his debut in New World Order.

In a subsequent tweet, the scooper posted a GIF image of Wolverine, seemingly hinting that Logan will also make an appearance in the film.

In the current MCU continuity, America's leader is listed as President Ritson, played by actor Dermot Mulroney in the upcoming Secret Invasion series. Previously, William Sadler played President Matthew Ellis, appearing in films like Iron Man 3 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

As it stands, New World Order's plot details have not been revealed so it's still best to take this one with a huge grain of salt. But the idea that Marvel Studios is giving Ford a substantial role in the film is definitely great news for fans of the billion-dollar franchise.

Captain America: New World Order is slated to hit theaters on May 3, 2024.
