It's official: Fire Force Season 3 has been confirmed. In addition to that, the franchise is getting its own video game!
It was previously teased by Kodansha that there would be an "important announcement" when the manga ended. However, the announcement took a little longer than expected. Instead, the big news was dropped when the manga's 34th and final volume was shipped in Japan on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
Fans have been waiting for Fire Force Season 3 for a long time now but it was well worth it. The franchise's Twitter account finally made the announcement, confirming that the third season has been decided.
In addition to Fire Force Season 3, the video game Fire Force Flame Dance ("Fire Force: Enbu no Sho") was announced and will also bring back Mrs. Green Apple, who had performed the first season's opening theme Inferno. The rock band will perform the game's theme Endless ("Enen"). More details about the online game have not yet been revealed. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
Fire Force Season 3 has been one of the most highly anticipated shows since the second season concluded back in December 2020. It was previously reported that the third season is currently in production and would soon be announced. Needless to say, the fans who waited got exactly what they were hoping for.
Fire Force is based on the manga by Atsushi Ohkubo and follows Shinra Kusakabe, a third-generation pyrokinetic youth who gained the nickname "Devil's Footprints" for his ability to ignite his feet at will. Ostracized as a child for the fire that killed his mother and younger brother Sho, Shinra joins Special Fire Force Company 8 and finds himself in the company of other pyrokinetics who dedicated themselves to ending the Infernal attacks for good. The company also investigates Companies 1 through 7 for potential corruption in their ranks.
