The long-awaited Final Fantasy XV is finally going to be released later this year, and during Wednesday night's special event, Square Enix revealed a lot about the FFXV franchise, new trailer, gameplay footage, and more. Of course, the cherry on top of the dessert is the release date: September 30, 2016.

Finally! After a decade since its announcement. I still remember back then when it was announced as Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and I can't believe that we now actually have a concrete release date to look forward to.

The game is already available for pre-order on Square Enix's online store. There's a Deluxe Edition for $89.99, and an Ultimate Collector's Edition for $269.99 (Xbox One or Playstation 4). Here's what's included in the Ultimate Edition:

I was about to order one, but it looks like it's sold out right now, so I entered my email on the waiting list.

A new epic trailer has also been released for the game, and it features quite an unexpected song, Florence and The Machine's cover of Stand by Me.

You can watch the trailer below:

In addition to the game's release date announcement, Final Fantasy XV is also going to get a 5-episode anime series and a full-length CGI tie-in movie featuring Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad actors.

Final Fantasy XV will be available for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 on September 30, 2016.
