Final Fantasy XV Gets A 5-Part Anime Series, First Episode is Out Now

At the special Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV presentation, Square Enix has announced a lot of surprising things that accompany the long-awaited role-playing videogame, Final Fantasy XV, and one of them is a five-part anime series that fans can watch online for free.

The anime is a prequel story showing how the game's main protagonist, Noctis, met his best friends. The episodes will all be available for free on YouTube, and the first episode has already been released! Well, Noctis looks a lot like Sasuke from the popular anime Naruto so it's cool to actually see Square Enix expanding the story in other media. The hype is on, and I can't wait to devour everything Final Fantasy XV. You can watch the trailer below:

You can watch the first episode here:

Wow. I like how this anime gives us an idea about Noctis and his friends just by seeing them talk while they're eating their meals. As I said, Noctus is kind of like Sasuke; Ignis is the intellectual protector that I'd describe as a male version of Quistis from Final Fantasy VIII; Gladio is the big brother figure guy who wants Noctis to grow up; and Prompto is the fun guy who might remind you of Michaelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Zell from FFVIII. We also learn a bit about Noctis' past, and some hints about his father and Luna that we still don't know much about. I'm already excited to see where the story is going to go. I also like how the anime captures the combat atmosphere well while giving us a better idea at the conflict ahead.

This is just the beginning of an epic masterpiece.

Final Fantasy XV will be released for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One on Sept. 30.
