Final Fantasy XV Director Expounds on DLC Content

Square Enix is looking at bringing some interesting updates to Final Fantasy XV beyond the free update to its single-player mode.

Game director Hajime Tabata has clued fans in on the team's plans for its updates. For one thing, there's a monster encyclopedia coming in. In an interview (translated by Gematsu), Tabata confirmed that there will be a sort of encyclopedia that will be dedicated to monsters in the game. The feature may also include some facts about each item, such as the weaknesses and dropped items, which would prove to be helpful for the players.

Additionally, Tabata revealed to US Gamer that there is a difference between how they plan to roll out updates and content expansion.

"The updates and DLCs should be considered as two separate types of content. While updates enhance the main game and will be offered for free, DLCs provide new ways to enjoy the game and will be offered as paid content."

We already know that plans for the single-player changes involve the 13th chapter of Final Fantasy XV, it appears that the creators will also take into consideration that feedback that the got from the players.

"The updated roadmap, which was announced at the end of last year, includes plans that existed before the launch of the game, as well as our response to some of the feedback we received from players after the launch of the game.",

Final Fantasy XV is out on the PS4 and Xbox One.
