Final Fantasy VII Remake Dev Team Urgently Hiring

Square Enix may be looking at quite a busy schedule for developing its Final Fantasy franchise.

Just recently, there was a speculated job ad sent out to add to the team that will be in charge of the next game, Final Fantasy XVI. Now, a new recruitment message has been posted, this time pertaining to Final Fantasy VII Remake.

According to Siliconera, the Business Division 1 of the developer, charged with the remake title, has released a recruitment message care of the bigwigs, Yoshinori Kitase, director Tetsuya Nomura, and Naoki Hamaguchi, the development leader.

"Reproducing the world of Final Fantasy VII in high-definition requires an extraordinary amount of time and resources, so we'll need all the help we can get to shorten that… Therefore, in order to further strengthen the development of this title, we must urgently recruit as much staff as possible."

Nomura shared that the goal was to remake Final Fantasy VII because a lot more players have become unfamiliar with the game. This process will also make sure that the team is able to incorporate the new technologies, so that the title is up-to-date with what's available in the current gaming scene.

Game development is no joke, and it doesn't help that developers in Japan are dwindling in number compared to their foreign industry counterparts. This is why the appeal of the likes of Nomura, Kitase, and Hamaguchi carry a bigger weight, stemming not just from the goal of creating a profit for Square Enix, but in creating a game that the team can be proud of.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be heading to the PS4. Here's hoping that we'd see something at E3 2017, even just a few information dump would do.
