The two Hollywood stars had a very public dispute while working together on Fate of the Furious, which led to Johnson not reprising his role in the 9th F&F movie.
The latest sequel to the Fast & Furious franchise has been slated for a 2023 release, with long-time franchise director Justin Lin on board. The Fast & Furious 10 film will set the tone for the eleventh and last film of the franchise.

Vin Diesel publicly asked Fast & Furious co-star Dwayne Johnson to return and reprise his role for Fast & Furious 10 on his official Instagram account. Diesel posted a photo of the two together taken from a still from Dwayne Johnson's first Fast & Furious stint.
The photo shows the two looking like they are in a very heated argument. Diesel's caption on the photo reveals his true agenda.
In the caption of his Instagram post, Vin Diesel shares how he wants Dwayne Johnson to come back and finish the Fast & Furious franchise with him. He reveals that his children call Dwayne Uncle Dwayne and how Johnson's appearance in Fast & Furious 10 would fulfill his promise to Pablo (Paul Walker).
Dwayne Johnson has yet to reply to Vin Diesel's call. There are speculations that Johnson is having second thoughts on pushing through with his initial plan of not joining the F&F family for the franchise's 10th and 11th films.
