Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2 will reportedly come after ASTORY President Lee Sang Baek, who works for the production company behind the hit K-drama series, confirms the show’s renewal. As many celebrate this news, it looks like not everyone is happy about it.

It can’t be denied that the show is a huge success, ranking No. 1 on Netflix’s Top 10 popular television category. However, some doubt the same can happen to Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2.

Fans Question the Show’s Renewal

According to AllKpop, many are excited about the show’s second season, but some are worried it won’t be as fun as the first one.

In a discussion on the online community Instiz, netizens revealed they were excited and happy looking forward to the second season.

Some even thanked the people behind the series for renewing the show and one requested to continue it until the sixth season.

However, others seemed to question the show’s renewal, doubting if Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2 would be as fun as the original.

"I wanted season 2 during the earlier episodes but now, I don't really think it's a good idea anymore," one fan explained.

"I think it's better if they end the drama when it's still being applauded, lol," another said.

"I feel like season 2 won't do as well as the first season,” a different netizen added.

Another also asked about Lee Jun Ho’s character, knowing he would be enlisting soon.

The Plans to Do Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2

In an announcement on Wednesday, August 17, Lee Sang revealed his hopes and plans to do Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2.

“Thanks to the support of many people, we will produce Season 2 of Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The goal is to air Season 2 in 2024,” he said, via Soompi. “It is not easy to coordinate the schedules of the cast and production team, so we will have to go through a lot of discussions.”

The boss also assured fans that the second season would feature the same cast, director, writer, and production team.

“As long as there are no unexpected changes, the goal is to maintain more than 90 percent of the same members as now,” he added. “For this reason, it will take a considerable amount of time to coordinate, but the plan to produce Season 2 has not changed.”

He even teased that they would continue to pique the viewers’ interest by featuring various content through the drama’s intellectual property (IP), like its webtoon, musical, and merchandise.

However, in a statement, ENA revealed the show’s second season is still in talks, while the cast admitted they hadn’t heard anything about the series’ return yet.

The first season of Extraordinary Attorney Woo will officially end with Episode 16, coming out on Thursday, August 18.
