Ezra Miller Reportedly Met with Warner Bros. to Discuss The Flash's Future Amid Their Controversies

For the past several months, Ezra Miller has found themselves in numerous controversies to the point that Warner Bros. has considered various options on how they are going to release The Flash, the upcoming film that they're starring. However, recently, the actor finally broke their silence and made a promise that they will come clean and address their issues.

Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Miller and their agent met with Warner Bros. Pictures chairpersons Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy last week to discuss The Flash's release strategy amid the actor's controversies. The report indicated that they decided to reaffirm their commitment to releasing the film and the actor apologized for the negative attention that they brought.

Sources told the outlet that Miller decided to seek help after learning that Warner Bros. is weighing the options on how they are going to release the film which includes canceling the film in its entirety if the controversies got worse leading up to the scheduled release next year.

While Miller didn't mind the bad headlines that they were getting, they were alarmed by the possibility of the cancellation of the film which led them to take action. "They care about The Flash. It’s one of their favorite characters to play," sources said.

There were no exact details given in the report regarding how the meeting went, but it was the first time that Miller spoke with the new Warner Bros. chairpersons and they were apologetic for the negative press that the film is getting due to their controversies and vowed to seek help.

Despite the studio's recent decisions to move Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom to new release dates, The Flash is still on track for a summer 2023 release. Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav also affirmed earlier this month that they are still committed to releasing the film in theaters.
