The Eminence in Shadow continues to be one of the most popular isekai titles currently. Soon, fans can look forward to more Shadow Garden goodness as The Eminence in Shadow is getting a new manga.
This manga was announced in the latest light novel volume, which was just released in Japan. There, it was revealed that the new manga will not have an entirely original story. Instead, it will be based on the mobile game.
The Eminence in Shadow’s upcoming manga is the latest in the various side projects the show has gotten following its breakout success.
The Eminence in Shadow Continues to Get New Projects
Fall 2022 was a memorable season thanks to shows like Chainsaw Man and Bocchi the Rock! While it may not have gotten the same level of attention during that season, The Eminence in Shadow has also become a massive hit.
Funnily enough, Eminence was the first of the Fall 22 debuting shows to get a second season reveal. This new season is currently airing, delighting isekai fans with more Shadow Garden action.
Aside from the new anime season, fans are also being treated to more side projects. One of these is the surprise crossover with Overlord.
This crossover mini-episode was released for free on YouTube recently, and it features a super deformed style that looks very much like Isekai Quartet.
On top of this, fans were also treated a few months ago to the PC release of The Eminence in Shadow: Master of Garden. Previously, this was only available on iOS and Android devices.

New Eminence in Shadow Manga Is Based on the Mobile Game
For those who aren’t into gaming but want to enjoy the game’s story, The Eminence in Shadow announced a new manga series that will adapt the game’s story.
This manga will adapt the Nanakage Retsuden (or Biography of the Seven Shades in English) story of the mobile game.
This is not the first manga adaptation for the franchise. The first is the ongoing manga adaptation of the light novel series that was published by Yen Press in North America.
There’s also the manga spinoff that ran from July 2019 to September 2023. This manga spinoff was serialized in Comp Ace.
For now, there’s no word yet on a release date for the new manga. It’s also not confirmed yet if it will get released in English outside of Japan.
