The Mandalorian star Emily Swallow shared an update on her potential return as The Armorer in The Mandalorian and Grogu.
Earlier this year, Lucasfilm confirmed that Din Djarin and Grogu are jumping to the big screen for their next adventure, making it the next theatrical Star Wars release since The Rise of Skywalker in 2019. It is slated to arrive in theaters in 2026.
Fans have been wondering whether the other characters in The Mandalorian will also appear in the movie as Lucasfilm remains mum on the story details surrounding Din Djarin and Grogu's big-screen adventure.
Emily Swallow on Potential Armorer Return in The Mandalorian and Grogu
Swallow was recently asked whether she will return as The Armorer in The Mandalorian and Grogu.
Unfortunately, she responded with, "No," as she hadn't received any call yet from Lucasfilm to join the film.
When asked whether she would love to reprise the role in the movie, Swallow simply answered, "I hope so, too."
The actress' update might be disappointing for some fans as they would love to see The Armorer become part of the big-screen project as well considering how pivotal she has become on Din Djarin's journey throughout the series.
There is also a possibility that Swallow might be hiding her involvement in the film as they are not allowed to share publicly whether she is part of the project which is why she gave such a response.
Given that the film is set to begin production sometime this year, we should be hearing an update regarding Swallow's involvement soon and hopefully, several familiar faces such as The Armorer will be part of the adventure.
The Mandalorian and Grogu is slated for release in theaters on May 22, 2026.
