EA

Last night, it was reported that Electronic Arts canceled the open-world Star Wars game from Visceral Games, and now, the mega-publisher has officially issued a statement about it.

Jason Schreier of Kotaku shared EA's statement on Twitter: "There's been speculation overnight about one of our Star Wars projects," the statement said. "As a natural part of the creative process, the great work by our team in Vancouver continues and will evolve into future Star Wars content and games."

They went on to say, "We're fully committed to making more Star Wars games, we're very excited about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from Respawn, and we'll share more about our new projects when the time is right."

It was previously reported that the open world game they were developing was codenamed Orca and was canceled in favor of a smaller title that allegedly is set to be released in 2020. EA didn't really reveal any details about the cancelation but their statement says a lot.
