The 56-year-old journalist, who made waves last week for his degrading remarks about women and aging, was due to appear on CNN This Morning with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins on Monday.

"There are ongoing conversations about Don's future. He is a constant distraction."

Another tipster told Fox News Digital that Lemon would be temporarily suspended from the network on Monday following his comments regarding Haley, 51, being beyond her prime.

Don Lemon Reportedly Says Sorry After CNN CEO Called Him

CNN CEO Chris Licht, on Friday, at the 9 a.m. editorial conference, scolded Lemon, according to a transcript of the discussion acquired by Confider. He reportedly told staffers:

"His remarks were upsetting, unacceptable, and unfair to his co-hosts, and ultimately a huge distraction to the great work of this organization."

Don Lemon allegedly retorted on the call:

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt anyone. I did not mean to offend anyone."

The site added that Lemon, who spent the weekend in Miami with his husband Tim Malone, did not appear on This Morning on Friday because he had a scheduled day off.

CNN and Lemon did not react to Confider's requests for comment. Reports suggested that the host's agency, UTA vice chairman Jay Sures, hung up on the Confider when asked why Lemon would not be on This Morning on Monday.

Lemon made his contentious comments about Haley while opposing the presidential candidate's request for legislators over the age of 75 to undergo annual mental competence tests. He said that the 51-year-old politician would have a difficult time winning the president since women are "considered to be in their prime in their 20s, 30s, and maybe 40s."

EpicStream previously reported that Don Lemon was rumored to jump ship amid the plummeting ratings of his show on CNN. However, no enough pieces of evidence could prove that the speculation is true. So, avid followers of the veteran broadcaster should take all these unverified claims with a pinch of salt.
