In an interview with ComicBook.com, Elizabeth Olsen shared her frustration of losing a different project because she was bound by her contract with Marvel. She revealed that she was supposed to go up in a role in The Lobster in 2015 but heartbreakingly lost it because of Marvel, "I was in a contract I could not get out of. So that didn't work out."

Olsen further explained, "I started to feel frustrated. I had this job security but I was losing these pieces that I felt were more part of my being. And the further I got away from that, the less I became considered for it."

Still, Elizabeth Olsen stayed with Marvel and her character grew more and more over the years. She owned the role of Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, with such a commanding prowess in acting that her performance in the film was beyond what is expected of her, it's an award-worthy one!

Being in the franchise for more than seven years now and possibly staying for more, her character still has so much in line before she retires her cape. From the scared enchantress to losing Vision, it was in WandaVision when she broke out of her shell.

While her story was about loss and grieving, even ending up hostaging an entire town for a reality she always dreamed of, Wanda Maximoff’s plight to happiness remains in the shadows as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness showed her a dark path that led her to be a villain, only to turn out as the heroine in the end.

That line, “know that they’ll be loved,” is within Wanda’s core. In the end, the only one who could stop her is herself. While she went down with the temple of Chthon, she destroyed every single copy of the Darkhold in every universe, knowing that the goodness in her still prevailed.

Wanda’s story, surely, wouldn’t end there. It is just the beginning for her in fully embracing herself as the Scarlet Witch, and the reality that hopefully, someday, she’ll find happiness in.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now in theaters.
