Oshi no Ko is building up to some spicy events as the Movie arc continues. With the manga finally returning with a new chapter this week, many are asking: do Aqua and Ruby kiss in Oshi no Ko?
The Aqua x Ruby ship has long been joked about, but for fans who are serious about liking the pairing, the manga’s latest events seem to be building up to it.

Aqua and Ruby’s Relationship in Oshi no Ko, Explained
Early into the Oshi no Ko manga’s latest arc, Ruby finally realized that Goro Amemiya was reborn as Aqua. She also revealed to Aqua that she was originally Sarina Tendouji.
While Aqua and Ruby’s relationship before this was simply a sibling relationship, the reveal seemed to have made Ruby’s feelings different.
Even though she has been living as Ruby for years now, she still has romantic feelings for Goro, given how kind he was to her during her days at the hospital.
After finding out that Goro was reborn as Aqua, there were hints that her feelings have resurfaced. This is despite Goro now technically being her twin brother in their new life.
Meanwhile, Aqua doesn’t seem to share her feelings, as he’s still fixated on revenge for Ai Hoshino.
Do Aqua and Ruby Kiss in Oshi no Ko?
Chapter 142 of the manga revealed that the Ai Hoshino movie script will feature a kiss between the characters played by Aqua and Ruby.
Aqua wasn’t too keen on this, as he revealed to Ruby. As for Ruby though, she seemed enthusiastic about it as she told Aqua to imagine her as Sarina and himself as Goro.
Ahead of the chapter’s official release, potential Oshi no Ko chapter 143 leaks have surfaced online, featuring a panel that shows Aqua and Ruby kissing to rehearse the scene.
As the latest chapter hasn’t been released officially yet, it’s not clear if this will be the case. This means fans will have to wait until March 14 for the chapter’s official release.

Will Aqua and Ruby End up Together?
The Aqua and Ruby ship has made many fans uncomfortable. Aside from the two being twins, their past lives are also seen as problematic by many, given the age gap between Sarina and Goro.
Given this, many believe that Aqua won’t end up with Ruby, especially as Aqua is uncomfortable with the situation and seems to be going along with it in his quest for revenge.
Of course, fans will need to continue reading the ongoing Movie arc to see if this ship does eventually fizzle out or if it becomes the final romance.
