The Grammys on ABC
After being broadcast on CBS for over 50 years, the Grammys is now moving to ABC.
The event will air live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2027, and will also be streamed on Disney+ and Hulu for the first time.
The Grammys will mark its return to ABC for the first time since 1972, after previously airing on the network in 1971 before moving to CBS.
"The GRAMMYS are all about celebrating the music that moves the world, and this moment is built on exactly that," the GRAMMYS CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said. "This is an exciting time for us as an organization - a new home and a bold new chapter for the GRAMMY Awards. We're just getting started and the best is yet to come."
The nominations will be announced on November 16, 2026.
The CMA Awards on Disney+
Disney and the Country Music Association have extended their collaboration through 2032, with the new deal bringing the CMA Awards to Disney+ for the first time ever.
In addition to its traditional broadcast on ABC, the 60th Annual CMA Awards will now also be available for streaming on Disney+ and Hulu when it airs on November 18, 2026.
"For two decades, Disney has been CMA's partner in celebrating excellence in Country Music and bringing its artists and storytelling to audiences around the world," CMA chief executive officer Sarah Trahern said. "Extending our collaboration with Disney and expanding the show to livestream on Disney+ marks an exciting next step for CMA, allowing us to reach new audiences while continuing our role in elevating and shaping the genre."
Teaser for FX’s Cry Wolf
Olivia Colman and Brie Larson took the stage at Disney’s 2026 Upfront to debut the teaser trailer for FX’s Cry Wolf.
A limited psychological thriller series, the eight-episode drama follows a social worker (Colman) who investigates allegations of abuse against a mother (Larson) and her husband.
Created by Sarah Treem, Cry Wolf is inspired by the acclaimed Danish drama Ulven Kommer, exploring dark family secrets after a teenage girl makes serious allegations of abuse.
The series also stars Shawn Hatosy as the stepfather, Alyvia Alyn Lind as the teenage daughter, and William Jackson Harper.
The Spot on Hulu
Claire Danes and Ewan McGregor also joined Disney’s 2026 Upfront to announce their new mystery series The Spot, on Hulu.
Produced by A24, the series follows a successful surgeon (Danes) and her teacher husband (McGregor), who begins to suspect that his wife may be responsible for a child’s hit-and-run death. This suspicion triggers a tense and dark investigation that unravels their marriage and secrets.
The series also stars Daveed Diggs and Dascha Polanco.
The Shards on FX
A new series titled The Shards was also announced at Disney’s 2026 Upfront for FX.
Co-created by Ryan Murphy and Bret Easton Ellis and based on Ellis’s 2023 novel, the 10-episode thriller is a semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story blended with erotic thriller elements and the presence of a serial killer known as “The Trawler.”
The series follows privileged prep school student Bret (Igby Rigney), who becomes increasingly obsessed with a new classmate (Homer Gere) while a series of murders unfolds in Los Angeles in 1981.
The cast also includes Homer Gere, Wes Bentley, Graham Campbell, Hayes Warner, and Evan Rachel Wood. The Shards is set to release in August 2026.
Count My Lies on Hulu
Shailene Woodley, Kit Harington, and Lindsay Lohan took the stage at Disney’s 2026 Upfront to announce their new series Count My Lies.
Based on Sophie Stava’s 2025 novel, the show follows a compulsive liar (Woodley) who takes a nanny job for a couple (Lohan and Harington) harboring dangerous secrets.
Currently in production in New York, the series also features Sophia Bush, Katherine LaNasa, and Lou Diamond Phillips.
American Horror Story Season 13 New Cast Announcement
Things took a darker turn at Disney’s 2026 Upfront when faceless dancers took the stage as clips from American Horror Story played in the background, leading into a surprise cast announcement.
Paul Anthony Kelly joins the show’s 13th season after his breakout performance as JFK Jr. in another Ryan Murphy project, Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette.
“I guess every nightmare needs fresh blood… and thirteen’s my lucky number,” Kelly said after emerging from the shadows to confirm his casting.
Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe, Billie Lourd, and Emma Roberts were also present at the event, flanked by hooded druids.
American Horror Story Season 13 is set to release this fall on FX and Hulu.
Avengers, Assemble!
Avengers assembled at Disney’s 2026 Upfront with Robert Downey Jr., Tom Hiddleston, and Paul Bettany reuniting on stage.

Sneak Peek at Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2
After a long wait, Disney’s 2026 Upfront offered a sneak peek at Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2, featuring creator Dave Filoni and members of the cast discussing the making of the new episodes.
“This season, the battles are bigger and the stakes are higher,” lead star Rosario Dawson said.
True enough, fans can expect even greater galactic conflict, as it was also revealed that the new season will be released in 2027 on Disney+.
Avatar: Fire and Ash on Disney+
Sigourney Weaver appeared in a video message to announce the streaming release of Avatar: Fire and Ash on Disney+ on June 24.
This marks the end of the film’s theatrical window following its December 2025 release, bringing the latest chapter of the long-running sci-fi franchise to home streaming after its major global cinema run.
The third installment continues the story of Pandora and further expands the universe created by James Cameron.
Jackson Olson Joins Dancing with the Stars Season 35
Savannah Bananas’ Jackson Olson is joining Dancing with the Stars Season 35 to show off his moves in the ballroom this time.
Other celebrities set to compete include Maura Higgins and Ciara Miller. The full cast of celebrities and professional dancers will be announced on Good Morning America on September 2.
Dancing with the Stars Season 35 will simulcast live this fall across ABC and Disney+ and stream the next day on Hulu.
The Land on Hulu
A new sports drama based on the world of the NFL titled The Land is coming on Hulu.
Created by Dan Fogelman with consultation from professional NFL players to ensure authenticity, the series follows the high-stakes world of professional football with an emphasis on loyalty and legacy.
The show features Christopher Meloni as the coach, with William H. Macy and Mandy Moore as the team owners.
Beginning production in late 2025, The Land is scheduled for release in 2027.
