Did Mark Hamill Just Reveal A Major Star Wars: Episode VIII Spoiler?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens left a lot of questions unanswered, and fans came up with theories about Supreme Leader's Snoke's identity or Rey's true parents, and Mark Hamill may have hinted at the answer at one of those big questions.

Warning: Possible spoilers ahead....

Earlier this week, the Star Wars actor was speaking to fans at the Oxford Union, and when he was asked about working with Daisy Ridley on the upcoming Episode VIII, Hamill said this: "Daisy is incredible. So genuine, appealing, loveable, she beams, she has a wonderful charisma, I adore her. She's my daughter's age - and that's how I relate to her." According to The Sun, the last part of his answer drew audible gasps from the audience, which prompted Hamill to quickly say, "I don't mean anything by that. As actors that's how I relate to that."

It's been speculated that Luke Skywalker is Rey's father, so if that turns out to be the case, I hope they'll include an "I am your father" moment in the movie. Back in December, we discussed the clue that brought up this theory.

Hamill also talked about how he thought Han Solo was his sidekick during the Star Wars auditions.

Directed by Rian Johnson and starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Laura Dern, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, and Benicio del Toro, Star Wars: Episode VIII opens in cinemas on December 15, 2017.
