Demon Slayer Season 2 Reveals Awesome Tengen Uzui Nichirin Cleaver Replicas

There is little doubt that Tengen Uzui wields the coolest weapons in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2. Unlike most swordsmen in the Demon Slayer Corps, the Sound Hashira uses two large Nichirin cleavers to vanquish demons. Now, fans can get their hands on replicas of the awesome weapons!

Collectible manufacturer Tamashii Nations has just unveiled the special prop swords. The replicas will be sold as a pair of 1.1 meter long blades connected with a chain. The swords have orange and black tinted blades which will also contain electronic components, allowing them to play sound effects as well as some of Tengen Uzui's iconic lines. In addition to that, the blades will play the Entertainment District arc's opening theme Zankyo Sanka by aimer.

Tengen Uzui's Nichirin blades will be the fourth replicas released by Demon Slayer. The previous replicas included Tanjiro Kamado's black sword, Zenitsu Agatsuma's sword, and Inosuke Hashibira's two serrated blades.

The Nichirin blades certainly got their piece of the spotlight in Demon Slayer Season 2. Early in the fight against Gyutaro, Tengen Uzui had tried beheading the demon by swinging one of the blades at him while holding the tip of the other. The Sound Hashira continued to use both cleavers even when he had one hand severed, gripping one blade in his teeth.

It's certainly a cool collectible but Uzui's pair of Nichirin blades will also set you back 26, 400 yen or about $230 USD. If you're ready to get in touch with your inner Sound Hashira, you can pre-order from the Premium Bandai web store here.

The final episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 is titled No Matter How Many Lives ("Nando Umarekawatte mo"), a reference to Chapters 96 and 97 in the manga. The final episode of Yukaku-hen will air on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at 11:15 PM JST.
