Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Dominates Crunchyroll Anime Awards With 8 Wins


There is little doubt that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie - Mugen Train was the most successful anime film last year, slaying records left and right. However, it looks like the movie is far from done. Mugen Train just dominated the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2022 by raking in eight awards including Best Film!

Crunchyroll has announced the winners of the Anime Awards 2022 and not surprisingly, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train absolutely slew the competition. The animated flick, which was initially released in Japan back in 2020, took home the Best Film award as well as Best Animation for Ufotable.

In addition to these awesome wins, Mugen Train nabbed the Best Score for Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina. The film also won Best Ending Sequence (ED) and the international voice cast brought home several VA performance awards.

It's great to know that Mugen Train continues to bring in the awards for the franchise and fans are convinced that Demon Slayer Season 2 will follow in its footsteps. People still can't stop talking about the latest episode of the Entertainment District arc, claiming that the penultimate episode is the best in the anime so far.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 18 is titled No Matter How Many Lives ("Nando Umarekawatte mo"), a reference to Chapters 96 and 97 in the manga. The final episode of Yukaku-hen will air on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at 11:15 PM JST.
