Demon Slayer Season 2 Entertainment District Arc Confirmed for One-Hour Premiere

It has been a long wait but we're finally here. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 is about to start with the Entertainment District arc that will follow Tanjiro Kamado and his friends into the Yoshiwara red-light district. Luckily, it looks like it was all worth the wait. It has just been confirmed that the first episode of the new story arc will be an hour long!

The previous episode of Demon Slayer Season 2 concluded the Mugen Train arc and that meant having to see the death of Rengoku Kyojuro all over again. Although it was an emotional episode for fans, this was quickly followed by celebrations as everyone anticipated the start of the Entertainment District arc.

So what can we expect in Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 8? It has just been confirmed that the upcoming episode will be at least an hour long.

This is certainly welcome news for fans who have been waiting for new content for way too long. It's best to remember that only the first episode of Season 2 featured new footage since Episodes 2 to 7 were taken from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie - Mugen Train. With that in mind, we can finally expect something completely new this Sunday.

Although Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 8 is expected to jump straight into the Entertainment District arc, there is a possibility it will open with Tanjiro visiting Rengoku's family to relay the messages the Flame Hashira left for his father and younger brother. Tanjiro could then learn about an ancient breathing style that is strangely similar to his family's Hinokami Kagura.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 8 is titled Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui ("On Bashira Uzui Tengen"). The new episode will premiere on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at 11:15 PM JST.
