The fight between demon slayers and Muzan’s army of demons continues in the upcoming release of Demon Slayer’s Infinity Castle movie trilogy.
There’s no more time to waste, as the Hashira, along with Tanjiro and his allies, will do everything in their power to honor Ubuyashiki’s legacy and all the lives lost in the long-running war between demons and humans.
Demon Slayer Gets Movie Trilogy Adapting Infinity Castle Arc
Following the intense and visually stunning final episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc, the official website and social accounts of Demon Slayer announced that the series is getting a film trilogy adapting the Infinity Castle arc of Koyoharu Gotoge’s widely acclaimed manga series.
The official YouTube channel of Aniplex also unveiled an announcement video that confirms Demon Slayer’s upcoming movie trilogy.
It showed how haunting the Infinity Castle was, with lights flickering along the dark hallway that seemed like an endless abyss for the demon slayers who were about to fight Muzan and his demons.
Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment are set to bring the films exclusively to theaters worldwide, excluding select Asian territories and Japan.
It is still unknown whether the trilogy will have a dub treatment, but it’s most likely to happen.
The Hashira Training arc has officially ended with eight episodes, and anime fans will have to wait for further news and information about the upcoming film trilogy in the coming weeks.
Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Movie Release Date Predictions
The exact release date of the Infinity Castle movies is not yet confirmed, but the first of the three movies is likely to come out a year or two after the announcement has been made based on previous releases.
If so, the first film of the trilogy is expected to come out possibly in mid-2025 or later, depending on the pacing of the anime’s production.
Should the first film fail to release next year, there’s a huge chance it’ll possibly come out in mid-2026 or later.
The second film in the trilogy is expected to come out sometime in 2027, followed by the final film, most likely in 2028.
What Could the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Trilogy Cover?
The Infinity Castle trilogy could cover chapters 140–183 of the Demon Slayer manga.
If so, fans should expect to see Zenitsu fighting against Kaigaku, a fellow thunder breathing user turned upper moon six, in addition to Shinobu Kocho’s revenge fight against Doma, the upper moon two who claimed the life of her sister Kanae.
Based on the events of the manga, there will be a lot more exciting but emotionally charged fights in the Infinity Castle arc in addition to the aforementioned battles.
From Giyu and Tanjiro’s fight against Akaza to Kanao and Inosuke’s confrontation with Doma to Mitsuri and Obanai’s battle with Nakime, the Infinity Castle trilogy is poised to be the ultimate finale to the massive franchise.
