Ryan Reynolds’ most recent outing, Red Notice, shows him in a tux while in action. Even when that seems like a perfect depiction of him looking like James Bond, that may be the closest he would be when it comes to the said role.

On Twitter, Reynolds retweeted a news clip from The Times wherein he was quoted as regards the Bond role, "I hear they're looking for a new Bond. Could you accept a Canadian sipping gin and tonic instead of a martini? If so, I'm interested."

In his tweet, Reynolds said, "I promise you I was not even remotely serious here," and attached to it was a gif which perfectly fits how he reacted to the quote with the titular character from Mad Max: Fury Road saying, “That’s Bait.” Seemingly, Reynolds implies that the article is a clickbait and his savage response was very Ryan Reynolds.

The Canadian actor also starred in films like Green Lantern, Blade Trinity, 6 Underground, Free Guy, and most recently, Red Notice.

As No Time to Die hits the theaters, it leaves the question as to who would become the next James Bond as Daniel Craig’s final outing is already done. At least, it is clear that the successor would not be Ryan Reynolds, but who knows? Anything could happen!
