Deadpool 3: Here's How Ryan Reynolds Convinced Marvel to Produce R-Rated Sequel

In case you missed it, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed that Deadpool 3 is already in development and will be another R-rated sequel. But what convinced Disney to agree in releasing an uncensored cut of the upcoming movie? According to Ryan Reynolds, he was the one responsible for making it happen and he had an interesting trick up his sleeve.

It was previously reported that Feige announced that Deadpool 3 will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In addition to that, the Marvel Studios boss confirmed that the sequel will aim for an R-rating.

Not surprisingly, Reynolds decided to celebrate the confirmation with a tweet joking about how he convinced the studio to agree on working on the sequel.

"Full disclosure: I showed them Spiderman 1 & 2 and told them it was Deadpool 1 & 2," Reynolds wrote. He then added the hashtag #Deadpool3.

We're loving how Reynolds never forgets to poke fun at himself as well as his own movie. Needless to say, everyone is already hyped up for the highly anticipated sequel.

The future of Deadpool was once a major concern for fans who were worried that Disney and Marvel Studios might choose to censor the character's tendency to drop expletives and tone down the violence in the film. However, most people were reassured when it was confirmed that Reynolds himself will oversee the script for the third Deadpool movie. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
