The idea of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine ever crossing over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was nothing more than a huge pipe dream several years ago but now, it has been made possible thanks to the franchise's ongoing Multiverse Saga which promises to feature familiar faces from past Marvel projects.
Jackman's first order or business as an official member of the MCU roster is the upcoming Deadpool 3 which will also mark Ryan Reynolds' first rodeo in the billion-dollar franchise. As it stands, we still know very little about the team-up film but according to a new report, the yet-to-be-titled project's storyline will be mindboggling and will involve time travel.
Twitter insider MyTimeToShineHello shared alleged plot details about the film and they're downright wild. According to the tipster, Deadpool 3 will directly follow the events of the last film and will see Wade Wilson use Cable's time machine to travel to the future and save Wolverine from dying.
It turns out that Logan doesn't know Wade and the duo will find themselves on the Time Variance Authority's radar for messing up with the timeline. This rumored plot detail lines up pretty well with the most recent updates surrounding the film as Owen Wilson is set to reprise his role as Mobius in the forthcoming sequel.

Now, this pretty much confirms that everything in the Marvel Universe has been interconnected all along and having the TVA involved in Deadpool 3 is a clever way to bring Wade Wilson and Logan to Earth-616. The real question is, how will they manage to survive in a timeline that doesn't belong to them? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Deadpool 3 is currently slated for release on November 8, 2024.
