After four months, Deadpool 3 is finally set to resume its filming this month as the actors' strike has finally ended a few weeks ago allowing the cast to return to the set. The film's release next year was also delayed for a few more months, allowing them an extended time to finish the project.
With the production of the film back on track, fans are looking forward to hearing more news and updates, especially that the actors are now also allowed to talk about it on social media again.
Now, we have another new update about the film coming from Ryan Reynolds himself, who gave us a first look at one of the new characters that will be introduced.

First Look Photo of Dogpool in Deadpool 3 Has Been Unveiled
Just hours after the actors' strike ended, Ryan Reynolds shared a first look photo at the new character Dogpool in Deadpool 3 on social media. He also joked about her merch potential when it releases next year.
"Did Dogpool save the day? Not a chance in gremlin hell. But she IS currently causing the Disney plushy merch department nightmares. Coming with the movie, Summer 2024." he wrote in his caption.

They also made an official Instagram account for Dogpool which is currently being followed by more than 13,000 followers.
Dogpool is an established character in the comics and they are usually part of the Deadpool Corps team. However, their breed is different than the one here in the film.
Even though we have not seen the film, we can make a guess already at this point that that Dogpool will be a scene-stealer in the film and, as Reynolds already pointed out, it has a huge potential for merch since animal characters usually gets popular just like Goose in Captain Marvel.
It is exciting to see now how Dogpool will play out in the story of the film and whether she does end up becoming a scene-stealer, but there is definitely a lot of opportunities that they can do with the character and jokes that they can do just with the fact alone that there's a dog with a Deadpool costume.
Deadpool 3 is slated for release in theaters on July 26, 2024.
