One of many casting rumors on Deadpool 3 that have surfaced online is The Adam Project star Walker Scobell's appearance as Kidpool. A lot of fans have expressed their excitement over the possibility of him showing up in the film and called it perfect casting.

If Kidpool does end up being one of the characters that will show up in the film, it does make sense that Scobell was cast to play the role since he has worked with Ryan Reynolds before and is currently a rising young actor.

So far, none of the many casting rumors that were being reported by alleged insiders have been confirmed by Marvel Studios although director Shawn Levy has stated that some of them are true.

Now, we have a new update regarding Scobell's casting in the MCU film and it looks like it might not be true after all.

According to a recent scoop from insider @CanWeGetToast on X, Scobell will not be playing Kidpool in Deadpool 3 after all. However, he did claim that the character's scenes were already shot with the possibility that a stunt double was playing him on the set.

While it might be unfortunate that Scobell's rumored casting might not be true after all if the insider's claims are right, it looks like we can still count on the character's appearance in the film.

At the same time, we couldn't also shoot down the possibility that Scobell is not part of the film since he could still show up for another role instead.

There is also a likelihood that Scobell will end up playing Kidpool through voice performance which they can do later during post-production since the character is masked throughout his body and Scobell doesn't necessarily need to show up on set to play him.

We won't be able to find out the truth until later when the film's production is back on track after the actors' strike or once we see the film itself if they intend to keep his rumored casting a secret during marketing.

If he does end up showing up whether it's through physical appearance or through a voice role, fans will definitely be happy to see him pop up in the film and work again with Reynolds.

Deadpool 3 is currently slated for release in theaters on May 3, 2024.
