It may have seemed like a huge pipe dream for years but Hugh Jackman is finally setting foot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, six years since he "retired" Wolverine's adamantium claws.

Reprising his iconic mutant role in Deadpool 3 alongside good friend and "arch rival" Ryan Reynolds, the question that has been on everyone's mind is: will we finally see Logan sport a comic-accurate costume for his next live-action appearance?

As it stands, we still don't know if Marvel Studios actually plans on presenting the claw-slashing outlaw in a manner more faithful to his comic book roots. You see, fans have been dying to see Jackman wear Wolverine's blue and yellow costume, as well as his menacing mask but Fox never actually pulled the trigger, except for that one tease that didn't really go anywhere.

Now, it turns out that Jackman has regrown his facial hair just in time for Deadpool 3's filming which kickstarts later this month. In new photos Jackman posted on social media, the Australian actor showed off his look for the anticipated superhero flick and it's going to give you serious oldman Logan vibes.

Surprisingly, his MCU look closely resembles his appearance in the acclaimed R-rated flick which makes us think the events of Deadpool 3 will actually tie directly into Wolverine's swan song. Check it out here:

The idea of Jackman finally sporting an accurate Wolverine costume doesn't seem too farfetched now, especially considering Marvel Studios is notorious for delivering fan service. More than anything though, I just can't wait to witness Jackman return to the role he made legendary.

Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3 is slated for theatrical release on November 8, 2024.
