Deadpool 3 is undoubtedly going to be a star-studded affair and if you've been closely following the rumor mill, it looks like Wade Wilson's grand entry to the Marvel Cinematic Universe will also serve as a massive homecoming for the now-defunct FoxVerse.
Of course, you're all aware by now that Hugh Jackman will be returning as Wolverine and suiting up (comic-accurate, that is) for the first time but according to the latest gossip, his mutant friends are also showing up.
If that wasn't enough, another A-list star is rumored to be appearing in the anticipated film and it's none other than pop royalty Taylor Swift. Now, the Phase Five film's director is finally breaking his silence on all the rumors.
Deadpool 3: Shawn Levy Addresses Taylor Swift's Rumored Casting as Dazzler
In a recent interview with The Wrap to promote his upcoming Netflix series All the Light We Cannot See, Shawn Levy confirms that he's shot and edited half the movie but the ongoing actors' strikes have put the film's supposed May 2024 release date at risk.
When asked about the film's premiere date, he said: "I wish I knew. I don’t even know if we officially have [a release date]. I know we were gonna be May 3. Certainly, the actors’ strike and the long pause in production have put that release date in true risk. We’ve shot half the movie. I’ve edited half the movie. We’re dying to get back to work and get this movie out next year."
Levy was also asked about the persistent rumors surrounding Swift's potential involvement as Dazzler and while he didn't confirm nor deny anything, his cryptic response is quite telling. He said: "They sure are loud [Swifties]. I’m going across the board. ‘No comment’ because that’s a double whammy. That’s Taylor-related. And it’s MCU-related. I’m no dummy. You’re going to have to wait and see."

Earlier this month, the singer once again fueled rumors about her possible casting in Deadpool 3 after she was spotted with Levy, Jackman, and Reynolds whom she's close friends with.
Swift has long been on the fans' radar when it comes to fantasy castings and to be fair, she certainly fits the Dazzler character and it doesn't take a genius to see their similarities.
Deadpool 3 is currently slated for release in theaters on May 3, 2024.
