Dave Filoni Teases More Star Wars Rebels Joining Ahsoka Live-Action Series

There is little doubt that Ahsoka is one of the most highly anticipated shows on Disney+. After all, we're all looking forward to Ahsoka Tano's new adventures. In addition to that, it looks like Ahsoka will be reuniting with some important friends. Dave Filoni has just teased the live-action debut of more Star Wars Rebels characters.

Dave Filoni will serve as the showrunner of Ahsoka and he told The Wrap that he is excited about the characters from the animated shows taking the huge leap into live-action. He then teased that there is a huge chance that the upcoming show could feature even more.

"At the end of the day, I've been very happy with the ones that have gone over," Filoni said. "There may or may not be more in Ahsoka, if that's your thing. If you're excited about that, I'm just saying that one might have a few more, which makes sense, by the way. As you know, I wrote it. You can't fault me there."

It has already been confirmed that Ahsoka will introduce Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren while Eman Esfandi will portray Ezra Bridger. Hera Syndulla and Chopper are also set to appear in the upcoming series. Although it has not yet been revealed which other characters from Star Wars Rebels will appear, there is one that everyone is already looking forward to.

Fans have been speculating about the live-action debut of Grand Admiral Thrawn in Ahsoka after the character was referenced in The Mandalorian Season 2. However, Lars Mikkelsen, who provided the voice of the villain in Star Wars Rebels, has repeatedly denied being a part of the upcoming show. Nevertheless, we're expecting Thrawn to eventually make an appearance in the Disney+ series.

Ahsoka has not yet been given an official release date. The series is expected to premiere on Disney+ later this year.
